A RESOLUTION
Commending the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office and the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office and the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office collaborated to arrest and federally indict four individuals on child sex trafficking charges; and
WHEREAS, the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office specifically recognized District Attorney Tripp Fitzner and Chief Investigator Rocky Davis; and
WHEREAS, the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office specifically recognized Sheriff Jeffrey Brewer and Investigator Michael Reddish for their roles; and
WHEREAS, the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office and the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office conducted a week-long investigation into a child sex trafficking operation in November 2025; and
WHEREAS, District Attorney Tripp Fitzner and Sheriff Jeffrey Brewer combined offices and resources, thereby following the case from Emanuel County to Savannah and Atlanta; and
WHEREAS, authorities arrested four local individuals connected to the trafficking and exploitation of five minor victims; and
WHEREAS, the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office and the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office were recognized by United States Attorney General Pam Bondi for their outstanding work in this case.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend District Attorney Tripp Fitzner and Chief Investigator Rocky Davis of the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office as well as Sheriff Jeffrey Brewer and Investigator Michael Reddish of the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office for their exemplary service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the press.
