Williams of the 37th, Hong of the 103rd, and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Wheeler High School Social Studies National Honor
Society; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, located at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia, the members of the
Wheeler High School Social Studies National Honor Society work to spread the importance
of social science education; and
WHEREAS, the society hosts a weekly segment on the Wheeler High School's morning news
called "Civic Chats with the Wildcats," wherein topics such as governmental operations,
civic issues, and historical events are discussed; and
WHEREAS, membership in this distinguished organization reflects a sincere dedication to
academic excellence, commitment to service, and the development of strong character and
leadership skills; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplary society be appropriately
honored during this special time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend the Wheeler High School Social Studies
National Honor Society and extend best wishes to each of its members for future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
Wheeler High School Social Studies National Honor Society.
