A RESOLUTION
Honoring Derik Kiefer for winning the West Forsyth 2026 State Wrestling Championship;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, excellence in high school athletics represents the combination of tireless,
dedication, mental fortitude, and physical perseverance; and
WHEREAS, Derik Kiefer has demonstrated exceptional skill, and sportsmanship throughout
the 2026 wrestling season, embodying the spirit of a true competitor; and
WHEREAS, by defeating his opponents in the 106 lb weight class, Derik Kiefer has
officially secured the title of 2026 State Champion, bringing immense pride to his entire
community and school; and
WHEREAS, this victory serves as a testament to the hours of training, weight management,
and discipline required to reach the top of the podium.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Derik Kiefer for his outstanding
achievement and for earning the title of State Champion.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Derik
Kiefer.
