House Resolution 2032 By: Representatives Lim of the 98th, Lupton of the 83rd, Clark of the 108th, and Olaleye of the 59th A RESOLUTION Commending Per Scholas Atlanta on the occasion of its 10th anniversary; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Per Scholas is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing economic mobility through rigorous no-cost technology training, professional development, and employer connections for individuals from communities; and WHEREAS, Per Scholas Atlanta was established in 2016 to expand access to high-quality technology education and career pathways for residents across the greater Atlanta region; and WHEREAS, since its founding, Per Scholas Atlanta has enrolled more than 2,000 learners, equipping them with the skills, certifications, and support needed to launch careers in the technology sector and helping to close the opportunity gap; and WHEREAS, Per Scholas Atlanta offers industry-aligned training programs in high-demand fields, including AWS cloud computing, cybersecurity, IT support, software engineering, data center operations, low voltage technician training, and Salesforce administration, preparing learners for success in a rapidly evolving digital economy; and WHEREAS, in 2025, Per Scholas Atlanta achieved an 81 percent certification attainment rate, demonstrating the effectiveness and rigor of its training programs; and WHEREAS, the organization provides comprehensive wraparound supports—including career coaching, job placement assistance, and professional skills development—to ensure learners are equipped to overcome barriers and achieve long-term success; and WHEREAS, Per Scholas Atlanta collaborates with employer partners, community-based organizations, and public sector leaders to build a strong, diverse pipeline of technology talent and support regional workforce development; and WHEREAS, in 2026, Per Scholas Atlanta proudly celebrates its 10-year anniversary, marking a decade of transformative impact and continued dedication to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through technology training. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Per Scholas Atlanta for its outstanding service to the people of Georgia and celebrate its 10 years of impact in expanding access to opportunity and building a diverse, skilled technology workforce. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Per Scholas Atlanta.
