House Resolution 2041 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Berry of the 56th, Holly of the 116th, and Scott of the 76th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Pastor Terry Woodard for his outstanding service and leadership in Clayton County; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Pastor Terry Woodard is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Victory In Christ Ministries (The VIC) and Victory Hope House, where he has faithfully served the community since relocating the ministry to Riverdale, Georgia, in June 2016; and WHEREAS, as a proud resident of Clayton County for more than 30 years, Pastor Woodard has demonstrated unwavering dedication to uplifting the lives of residents through both spiritual guidance and tangible community support; and WHEREAS, Pastor Woodard also serves as Vice President of the Association of Christian Ministers of Clayton County, further extending his leadership and collaboration among faith-based organizations throughout the region; and WHEREAS, as a bi-vocational pastor and business owner, Pastor Woodard leads with a heart for service, establishing and sustaining impactful outreach initiatives including weekly food pantry distributions, the "Hope Outlet" clothing and household goods ministry, annual back-to-school backpack drives, and seasonal programs that provide critical resources to families in need; and WHEREAS, Pastor Woodard is a steadfast community advocate who believes that meaningful and lasting improvements are achieved through strong partnerships between local government and nonprofit organizations, working collaboratively to ensure that vital services are adequately resourced and accessible; and WHEREAS, through his ministry and leadership, Pastor Woodard is committed to advancing sustainable solutions that go beyond meeting immediate needs, striving to empower families toward homeownership, financial freedom, and long-term stability; and WHEREAS, in addition to his many professional and civic responsibilities, Pastor Woodard values family and community, enjoying time with his grandchildren and engaging in personal pursuits such as motorcycle riding; and WHEREAS, Pastor Woodard's roles as Senior Pastor, founder of key community outreach programs, business owner, and advocate exemplify the highest standards of service, leadership, and compassion. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Pastor Terry Woodard for his outstanding contributions to the citizens of Clayton County and the State of Georgia as well as honor his enduring commitment to service, faith, and community empowerment. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Pastor Terry Woodard.
