A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Townsend and Lockett, LLC, for its exemplary contributions to business law and economic leadership in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Townsend & Lockett, LLC (T&L) is a full-service business law firm founded and headquartered in the State of Georgia, with additional offices in Dallas, Texas; Los Angeles, California; and Chicago, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, T&L was founded by D. Tennell Lockett and Travis Townsend, Jr., whose vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence have driven the firm's growth and national recognition; and

WHEREAS, under the leadership of its founders and equity partner Christopher E. Gilmore, who chairs several of the firm's practice groups, T&L has established itself as a trusted legal advisor to Fortune 500 companies, handling more than $21 billion in domestic and international transactions over the past decade; and

WHEREAS, T&L is recognized as a leader in the practice areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, commercial real estate, intellectual property and technology, private equity and venture capital, as well as commercial litigation and arbitration; and

WHEREAS, entering its sixteenth year of operation, T&L continues to exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, innovation, and legal expertise, contributing to the economic growth and business success of companies both in Georgia and across the nation; and

WHEREAS, T&L's dedication to excellence reflects the entrepreneurial spirit and leadership that have made Georgia a hub for business, commerce, and legal innovation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Townsend & Lockett, LLC, for its outstanding achievements, exemplary service in the field of business law, and significant contributions to Georgia's economic development and national business leadership. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Townsend & Lockett, LLC.
