House Resolution 2050

A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and congratulating Ellie Cooper; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Ellie Cooper, a student athlete at North Forsyth High School, has demonstrated
extraordinary, talent, dedication, and sportsmanship in the sport of competitive swimming;
and
WHEREAS, through rigorous training and unwavering commitment to excellence, Ellie
competed in the 2026 GHSA Class 6A State Swimming Championships; and
WHEREAS, Ellie achieved a spectacular victory and the 100 yard backstroke, capturing the
state championship title with a time of 55.18 seconds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Ellie Cooper for her outstanding athletic
performance, her individual state championship, and her exemplary representation of North
Forsyth High School.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ellie
Cooper.
