WHEREAS, Jeb Arp has served the Rome and Floyd County community for decades as an educator, volunteer, and civic leader; and WHEREAS, Jeb serves on several boards of directors, including the Rome Area Heritage Foundation as co-president and secretary, the Rome International Film Festival as a Film and Entertainment Society founding member, and the William S. Davies Shelters Advisory Board; and WHEREAS, Jeb has participated in the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth's "Are You Smarter Than a 3rd Grader?" competition, the Bloom Closet PorchFest Planning Committee, the Neighborly Love sweatshirt fundraiser for the Garden Lakes Elementary School staff appreciation fund, and the Junior Service League of Rome Follies; and WHEREAS, Jeb has shared his talents at Rome First United Methodist Church and Youth Ministry as a youth mentor, a member of the praise band, and a delegate to the North Georgia United Methodist Conference; and WHEREAS, Jeb has been honored with the 2020 Georgia Board of Realtors Humanitarian Award, was named "20 Under 40" in the 2016 Rome Life Magazine, and is a graduate of the Leadership Rome Class of 2013; and WHEREAS, Jeb's interests reflect a love of architecture, historic preservation, and community development, from restoring old homes to volunteering his time and patronizing fun and flashy events that support local arts and culture.
