WHEREAS, Maha Ahmad has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement as a student of Peachtree Academy, maintaining a 4.2 weighted grade point average and a 4.0 unweighted grade point average while pursuing a rigorous course of study; and WHEREAS, she has earned consistent recognition for scholarly excellence, including placement on the Principal's Honor Roll from 9th through 11th grade and achieving Top Student distinctions across numerous subjects, including American Government and Civics, AP World History, AP Biology, AP United States History, Statistics, Animal Science, and Floral Design; and WHEREAS, Maha Ahmad has further distinguished herself by earning Gold-level recognition from the National Green Schools Society, awarded for completing more than 100 service and educational hours; and WHEREAS, her involvement in extracurricular activities includes service as president of the Spanish Honors Society, president of the Eco Club, project/event manager of the Eco Club, student ambassador across multiple years, and president and student advisor within Future Farmers of America; and WHEREAS, Maha Ahmad has participated in initiatives such as Rivers Alive cleanups, the Adopt a Mile program, providing meals to firefighters in Rockdale County during Thanksgiving, and delivering food through Meals on Wheels; and WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most important objective of the General Assembly, and Maha Ahmad has shown by academic accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the students in this state; and WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this bright and promising young citizen. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body heartily commend Maha Ahmad for her many outstanding accomplishments and contributions on behalf of her fellow citizens as well as extend their most sincere best wishes for continued academic success.
