WHEREAS, Traci Tillery is a Nurse Practitioner with a 34-year career in nursing, having worked at Atrium Floyd Health; and WHEREAS, during her career, Traci realized the importance of foot care and foot maintenance and began the first nurse-driven foot care clinic in the Floyd County area at Floyd Medical Center; and WHEREAS, after much research and paperwork, Stars Align Outreach, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was born and "The Toe Truck" became the Northwest Georgia Mobile Foot Clinic; and WHEREAS, through collaboration with local non-profit Fork, Spoon, and Plate, "The Toe Truck" provides services to the homeless and other members of the community in need; and WHEREAS, Traci and her team have built relationships with their clients, serving them with dignity and respect as they provide the much-needed medical attention that their clients cannot afford; and WHEREAS, Traci serves on the Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Credentialing Board Advanced Practice Committee, where, among other duties, she is on the committee responsible for writing the exam questions for the national certifying exam; and WHEREAS, Traci has had an outstanding professional career and continues making a difference in the lives of those whom others often choose to look past; and WHEREAS, Traci is "all in" when it comes to living out her passion to care for others with her servant's heart, and the community is better because of her dedication to those in need. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize Traci Tillery for her outstanding dedication to the community, commend her as a recipient of the 2026 Heart of Community Award of Honor, and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued success.
