A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Khalilah Jackson; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Khalilah Jackson is a resilient entrepreneur, author, and community advocate whose life reflects perseverance, healing, and empowerment; and
WHEREAS, as a two-time cancer survivor and survivor of domestic and childhood adversity, she has transformed personal challenges into a powerful purpose that uplifts others; and
WHEREAS, she earned her PhD while overcoming significant health challenges, built a successful salon business, and is a devoted mother of three; and
WHEREAS, she is the author of Turn Those Lemons to Lemonade, a work that inspires resilience, healing, and personal growth; and
WHEREAS, Khalilah Jackson is the founder of My Sister's Keeper Next Door Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides safety education and resources to survivors of domestic violence; and
WHEREAS, she remains committed to community service through outreach initiatives and women's empowerment efforts, while also serving as a business and success coach to help others achieve sustainable success; and
WHEREAS, her life and work exemplify the power of determination, faith, and service to create lasting impact and inspire others.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Khalilah Jackson for her outstanding contributions to her community, her unwavering resilience, and her commitment to empowering others.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Khalilah Jackson.
