A RESOLUTION
Commending the Georgia Association of REALTORS® and recognizing February 18, 2025,
as REALTOR® Day at the Dome; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the annual Georgia Association of REALTORS® Day at the Dome conference
will bring more than 1,000 REALTORS® to Atlanta and the state capitol; and
WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® has served the citizens of the state
of Georgia by being the premiere voice advocating on behalf of private property rights for
over a century; and
WHEREAS, members of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® have made the dream
of home and property ownership a reality for millions of Georgia residents; and
WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® seeks to increase knowledge of all
real estate professionals in Georgia by offering scholarships for continuing education classes
through its Scholarship Foundation, which was established in 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® made over $600,000 available to
Georgians who suffered a loss of their residence or livelihood from a natural disaster in 2024
alone through grants from the GAR Disaster Relief Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® raises the bar of professionalism in
commercial and residential real estate practice in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® is recognized as the premier
organization in the state of Georgia representing more than 48,000 real estate professionals
dedicated to protecting private property rights; and
WHEREAS, the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the Georgia Association of
REALTORS® is a celebration of the legacy created and cultivated by dedicated real estate
professionals over the past century.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend the Georgia Association of REALTORS® for its many
outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia and recognize February 18,
2025, as REALTOR® Day at the Dome.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Georgia Association of REALTORS®.
