of the 109th, Romman of the 97th, and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Splash Festivals; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, founded by Frances Schube and Cindy Flynn, Splash Festivals specializes in
producing vibrant and engaging art events that promote the cities they represent, bringing
together artisans, visitors, and local businesses in a mutual celebration of creativity and
community; and
WHEREAS, since its incorporation in 2009, Splash Festivals has organized and produced
such outstanding experiences as the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, the Acworth Art
Fest, the Chamblee Art Fest, the Dunwoody Art Festival, the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest, the
Norcross Art Splash Festival, and the Johns Creek Arts Festival; and
WHEREAS, the Norcross Art Splash Festival, one of the largest annual events in the City
of Norcross, first began in 2004 and has since grown into a major attraction, drawing large
crowds from both within and outside the city while also supporting local businesses and
fostering economic activity in downtown Norcross; and
WHEREAS, the success of the Norcross Art Splash Festival is made possible through the
dedication of more than 100 volunteers, many of whom are Norcross citizens, who
generously contribute their time and effort to assist artisans, set up and break down booths,
and welcome visitors with warmth and hospitality; and
WHEREAS, Splash Festivals works in close collaboration with the City of Norcross,
including the police department and city staff, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for
festival attendees; and
WHEREAS, through their unique approach to event planning, Splash Festivals has
established a strong reputation for producing high-quality festivals that engage communities,
attract thousands of visitors, and celebrate the spirit of the arts; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable company be
appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Splash Festivals for its many outstanding
contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend best wishes for continued
success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Splash Festivals.
