A RESOLUTION
Commending W.S. Hutchings College and Career Academy and Principal Dr. Cassandra
Washington; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, W.S. Hutchings College and Career Academy has been a beacon of excellence
in preparing students in Macon-Bibb County for success in college, careers, and beyond; and
WHEREAS, under the exceptional leadership of Dr. Cassandra Washington, the academy
has cultivated a learning environment that provides students with innovative academic
programs, hands-on career training, and essential workforce skills; and
WHEREAS, W.S. Hutchings College and Career Academy has fostered strong partnerships
with local businesses, industries, and higher education institutions to ensure students have
access to meaningful opportunities that align with Georgia's economic and workforce needs;
and
WHEREAS, Dr. Cassandra Washington's dedication to educational excellence, student
empowerment, and community engagement has had a profound impact on the lives of
countless students, equipping them with the tools to thrive in an increasingly competitive
world; and
WHEREAS, the academy's commitment to equity, innovation, and career readiness serves
as a model for educational institutions across the State of Georgia and beyond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend W.S. Hutchings College and Career Academy for its
unwavering commitment to academic and career excellence and recognize Dr. Cassandra
Washington for her outstanding leadership and dedication to the students, faculty, and
community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.
Cassandra Washington and W.S. Hutchings College and Career Academy.
