## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution formally commends tech executive Sherrod Davis for his career achievements ahead of a Women's History Month technology showcase at the state capitol.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives, not a change to state law. It honors Sherrod Davis, co-founder and CEO of EcoMap Technologies, for his work in the technology industry, including his role in building EcoMap's Ecosystem Intelligence Platform and his earlier ventures AdWap, TrackOFF, and Protenus.
The resolution ties the honor to the second annual Tech Demo Day at the state capitol on March 13, 2025, hosted by Representative Dar'shun Kendrick under the theme 'Women In Artificial Intelligence.' It directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for Davis as a keepsake. It does not create any new rights, funding, or legal requirements.

### What it does

- Formally commends Sherrod Davis by name for his career in the technology industry.
- States the reasons for the honor, citing his leadership at EcoMap Technologies, AdWap, TrackOFF, and Protenus.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to Davis.
- Connects the honor to the state capitol's second annual Tech Demo Day on March 13, 2025.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names Sherrod Davis, the honoree. It also references Representative Dar'shun Kendrick, who hosts the Tech Demo Day event, and the Clerk of the House of Representatives, who must prepare the ceremonial copy.

### Why it matters

This resolution carries symbolic rather than legal weight. It gives public recognition to Davis's business career and highlights an upcoming capitol event on women in artificial intelligence, but it does not change any Georgia law, spend state funds, or impose obligations on anyone beyond producing a commemorative copy.

### Key provisions

- The whereas clauses describe the March 13, 2025 Tech Demo Day at the state capitol and its 'Women In Artificial Intelligence' theme.
- The whereas clauses detail Davis's role as co-founder and CEO of EcoMap Technologies and its Ecosystem Intelligence Platform.
- The whereas clauses note his prior work at AdWap, TrackOFF (acquired by Avast Software in 2019), and Protenus (acquired by Bluesight).
- The resolved clause formally commends Davis on behalf of the House of Representatives.
- The final clause directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide Davis a copy of the resolution.
