of the 98th, and others
A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life and memory of Jimmy Chang; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens
with the passing of Jimmy Chang; and
WHEREAS, Jimmy Chang graduated from the University of Georgia, where he was a
member of the Lambda Phi Epsilon fraternity; and
WHEREAS, he demonstrated exceptional leadership in the real estate industry as the 2024
President of the Asian Real Estate Association of America – Atlanta Metro Chapter and as
a member of the 2024 Atlanta Realtors Association Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, deeply committed to his community, Jimmy Chang was actively involved in
numerous local organizations and charities, dedicating innumerable hours of his time and
energy toward improving the lives of others; and
WHEREAS, he was admired for his kindness, his mentorship, and his positive and vibrant
attitude, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues, friends, and mentees alike; and
WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous individual, Jimmy Chang will long be
remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who
had the great fortune of knowing him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Jimmy Chang and express
their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
family of Jimmy Chang.
