## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution honors Corbin McKay, Cartersville High School's 2025 STAR Student, and recognizes teacher Melissa Moore as his chosen STAR Teacher.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives rather than a bill that changes state law. It commends Corbin McKay, a student at Cartersville High School, for being named the school's 2025 STAR Student, an honor given to the student with the highest score on one administration of the three part Scholastic Aptitude Test who also ranks in the top 10 percent or top ten of his class.
The resolution also notes that Corbin chose educator Melissa Moore as Cartersville High School's 2025 STAR Teacher in recognition of her support during his time in school. The House formally congratulates Corbin and directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for him. It creates no new laws, funding, or requirements.
