A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending Monica Whitfield, the Cartersville-Bartow County
Chamber of Commerce 2024 Volunteer of the Year; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Monica Whitfield was recently named the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber
of Commerce 2024 Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her exceptional dedication to the
chamber and her community; and
WHEREAS, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to nurturing future leaders
through her service as chair of the Youth Leadership Bartow committee, where her efforts
have inspired and guided countless young individuals; and
WHEREAS, her leadership as both a chamber ambassador and head of the Events
sub-committee has played a vital role in the success of numerous chamber events, including
the Annual Cookout; and
WHEREAS, her selfless contributions further include her participation in county-wide
initiatives such as the upcoming Cartersville Dancing with the Stars, which supports the
Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter and Backpack Buddies; and
WHEREAS, Monica Whitfield's outstanding service, leadership, and compassion have made
a lasting impact on her community and beyond, making her a well-deserved recipient of this
prestigious award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body congratulate Monica Whitfield upon being named the
Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce 2024 Volunteer of the Year; commend
her for her many exemplary contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia; and extend
best wishes for her continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Monica Whitfield.
