A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending Shaw Industries Group, the Cartersville-Bartow County
Chamber of Commerce 2024 Manufacturer of the Year; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, since beginning its journey in Northwest Georgia, Shaw Industries Group has
become a global leader in the floor covering industry while remaining an integral part of
Bartow County for more than 40 years; and
WHEREAS, Shaw Industries Group has invested nearly $1 billion into the State of Georgia
over the past five years, including the installation of a half-mile solar array at its Adairsville
facility and the establishment of the Shaw Family Health Center and Hiring Center in
Cartersville; and
WHEREAS, Shaw Industries Group employs more than 2,700 associates across multiple
Bartow County locations and fosters a culture of support and empowerment while
contributing significantly to local economic growth and supporting numerous not-for-profit
organizations; and
WHEREAS, as additional testament to its dedication to the community, Shaw Industries
Group was recently recognized by Forbes magazine as a Best-In-State Employer; and
WHEREAS, Shaw Industries Group exemplifies excellence, innovation, and community
commitment, making it a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body congratulate Shaw Industries Group upon being named the
Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce 2024 Manufacturer of the Year;
commend Shaw Industries Group for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the
citizens of Georgia; and extend best wishes for its continued growth, development, and
success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Shaw
Industries Group.
