A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Kayode Adekunle; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Kayode Adekunle has diligently and conscientiously dedicated over 30 years
to community leadership and service, playing a vital role in uplifting and advocating for the
Nigerian and African diaspora communities in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, he currently serves as president of the Alliance of Nigerian Organizations in
Georgia (ANOG), an umbrella organization representing over 40 diverse Nigerian diaspora
associations, where he has worked to expand the organization's visibility, strengthen
community engagement, and cultivate relationships with elected officials; and
WHEREAS, under his leadership, ANOG has elevated its signature events, including the
Annual Nigeria Cultural Day and Banquet Awards, launched a quarterly newsletter to
promote diaspora businesses, and expanded outreach to local county leadership to champion
causes and foster collaborations; and
WHEREAS, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to humanitarian efforts, leading
initiatives to provide food, shelter, and employment assistance to individuals and families in
need, including raising over $12,000 to support those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic;
and
WHEREAS, beyond ANOG, he has been an active leader in numerous community
organizations, including over a decade of service to the Nigerian American Public Affairs
Committee; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his service to the community, he is a highly regarded
cybersecurity consultant with expertise in cyber threat management, regulatory compliance,
layered defense strategies, computing platforms, and network design who holds multiple
professional certifications; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable individual be
appropriately honored during this special time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Kayode Adekunle for his many
outstanding accomplishments and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health
and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Kayode Adekunle.
