WHEREAS, Katie Andrews is a role model for aspiring student-athletes whose success both inside and outside of the classroom demonstrates that excellence is achievable through hard work and passion; and WHEREAS, with a GPA of 3.93, Katie has balanced her academic pursuits with a rigorous training schedule; and WHEREAS, her years of training and competition have resulted in victories and placements at numerous events, including the 2024 Nationals Qualifier, 2023-2024 Regionals Qualifier, and the 2024 GHSA 6A-7A State All Around Gymnastics Competition, which she won after finishing atop bars and floor with a runner-up finish in the beam; and WHEREAS, her superior skill, strategy, stamina, and control have earned her the respect and admiration of her teammates and challengers; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative abilities of this accomplished and gifted student-athlete, as well as the pride, honor, and respect she has brought to herself, her school, and her community, be appropriately honored.
