of the 24th, Jones of the 25th, and others
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating Katie Andrews of Central Forsyth High School for winning the 2024 GHSA
6A-7A State All Around Gymnastics Competition; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Katie Andrews is a role model for aspiring student-athletes whose success both
inside and outside of the classroom demonstrates that excellence is achievable through hard
work and passion; and
WHEREAS, with a GPA of 3.93, Katie has balanced her academic pursuits with a rigorous
training schedule; and
WHEREAS, her years of training and competition have resulted in victories and placements
at numerous events, including the 2024 Nationals Qualifier, 2023-2024 Regionals Qualifier,
and the 2024 GHSA 6A-7A State All Around Gymnastics Competition, which she won after
finishing atop bars and floor with a runner-up finish in the beam; and
WHEREAS, her superior skill, strategy, stamina, and control have earned her the respect and
admiration of her teammates and challengers; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative abilities of this
accomplished and gifted student-athlete, as well as the pride, honor, and respect she has
brought to herself, her school, and her community, be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Katie Andrews on her remarkable
achievements in both gymnastics and the classroom as well as extend best wishes for success
in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Katie
Andrews.
