156th, Jackson of the 128th, and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Maddison Hendershot of the Georgia Transportation Alliance
for her years of service and commitment to advancing transportation policy in Georgia; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Georgia Transportation Alliance is the state's only organization focused
solely on identifying and promoting long-term transportation solutions specifically connected
to economic development and job creation. GTA is the transportation arm and affiliate of the
Georgia Chamber and works closely with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Georgia
Ports Authority, and other key stakeholders in Georgia with the goal of ensuring an efficient
and safe statewide multi-modal transportation system; and
WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot served as Deputy Director of the Georgia Transportation
Alliance from January 2017 to February 2025, during which time she supported the
operations of the organization, facilitated board member engagement, and directly
coordinated with Georgia General Assembly members and other community leaders; and
WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot has been invaluable in assisting the members of the
House of Representatives Committee on Transportation in carrying out their important work,
which would not have been as easily done without her help; and
WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot has organized countless events, making the work of the
House of Representatives so much more enjoyable; and
WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot is an outstanding, loving mother of two precious girls,
and her husband is a lucky fella; and
WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot is a loved member of the transportation community, and
Chairman Rick Jasperse and the 42 members of the House Committee on Transportation
wish her well in her new adventure and will miss her greatly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Maddison Hendershot for her efficient,
effective, unselfish, and dedicated service and extend the most sincere best wishes for
continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Maddison Hendershot.
