By: Representatives Stinson of the 150th, Jackson of the 68th, and Hugley of the 141st
A RESOLUTION
Commending Reign Over Cancer Inc.; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Reign Over Cancer Inc. has a long and consistent record of service to the
community and has been recognized as one of the most dynamic and committed
organizations in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Reign Over Cancer Inc. is a nonprofit entity founded by Reign Stevens, a breast
cancer survivor, who uses her experience as a lobbyist, community organizer, legislative
aide, and certified life coach to raise awareness and provide solutions to issues surrounding
post-cancer treatment life; and
WHEREAS, this remarkable nonprofit fosters partnerships with grassroots organizations and
medical professionals to bridge gaps, increase awareness, and find solutions for those in
need; and
WHEREAS, Reign Over Cancer Inc. has provided hundreds of children of survivors with
Christmas gifts and recognizes these children as "silent survivors" who are deeply affected
by their parents' ongoing battles with cancer; and
WHEREAS, Reign Over Cancer Inc. has had a tremendous impact on its community through
its spirit of service and commitment to improving the quality of life in the State of Georgia;
and
WHEREAS, Reign Stevens has long been dedicated to providing unparalleled service and
support, and she remains steadfastly committed to the principles of skill, integrity, and
responsibility; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
extraordinary organization be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend Reign Over Cancer Inc. for its many exemplary
contributions to the citizens of this state and extend best wishes for its continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Reign
Over Cancer Inc.
