Flournoy of the 74th, and others
A RESOLUTION
Commending Clayton State University and recognizing March 4, 2025, as Clayton State
University Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Clayton State University is an institution committed to improving the lives of
its students through teaching, scholarship, and service; and
WHEREAS, Clayton State University was named No. 5 in The Wall Street Journal Best
Colleges in the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, in 2024, Clayton State University was ranked by James Magazine as the No.
3 Best Value in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, students in the Clayton State University School of Nursing recently earned a
100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX nursing board exam; and
WHEREAS, a new Master's in Teaching in Secondary Education was established in 2024
through a partnership with DeKalb County to help meet teacher pipeline needs; and
WHEREAS, Spivey Hall on the campus of Clayton State University continues to be an
internationally recognized concert hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend Clayton State University and recognize March 4, 2025,
as Clayton State University Day at the state capitol.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
President Georj L. Lewis.
