A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February 27, 2025, as Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council Day at the state
capitol; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council (GMCCC), established in 2006,
is an organization composed of dedicated municipal court clerks from across the State of
Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council is to act as an
administrative support mechanism by assisting municipal court clerks throughout the State
of Georgia in their endeavor to ensure the administrative efficiency of the court, protect the
court's ethical integrity, and help maintain public confidence in the court's fairness in
dispensing justice impartially; and
WHEREAS, the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council focuses on the development and
training of municipal court clerks, ensuring the continuous improvement of municipal courts
and the justice system, thereby supporting the judiciary and court administration to better
serve the public and promote the efficient administration of justice; and
WHEREAS, municipal court clerks are integral to preserving the judiciary, court
administration, and public safety as well as upholding the quality of life in local
municipalities across the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council are court
professionals who embody a profound commitment to the ethical and effective management
of the Georgia Judicial System; and
WHEREAS, municipal court clerks are at the forefront of direct interactions with the public,
with more people engaging with these clerks than with all other courts combined, making
them vital to shaping the public's impression of the Georgia Judicial System; and
WHEREAS, municipal court clerks conduct their duties with unwavering neutrality and
impartiality, ensuring equal service to all and steadfastly promoting public confidence in the
integrity and fairness of the judiciary; and
WHEREAS, it is both fitting and proper to recognize the efforts, accomplishments, and
significant role of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council in preserving the public trust
and fostering confidence, integrity, and impartiality within the judiciary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council for its
invaluable service and dedication to advancing the administration of justice, its unwavering
commitment to court administration and public safety, and its contributions to the betterment
of the Georgia Judicial System.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body recognize February 27, 2025,
as Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council Day at the state capitol in honor of its service as
an essential partner in upholding the principles of fairness, justice, and integrity that underpin
the judicial system of the State of Georgia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the
Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council.
