A RESOLUTION
Commending Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates and recognizing March
5, 2025, as Habitat for Humanity Georgia Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates have been steadfast
advocates for affordable housing and community development, tirelessly working to provide
safe and decent housing for families in need; and
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates' efforts have
significantly contributed to the well-being and stability of countless communities across the
state; and
WHEREAS, on March 5, 2025, Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates will
undertake a significant advocacy initiative by framing a house on the Georgia State Capitol
grounds, symbolizing the importance of affordable housing and the need for continued
support and legislative action; and
WHEREAS, this event will bring together volunteers, community leaders, and legislators to
raise awareness and demonstrate the collective commitment to addressing housing challenges
in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the framing of this house on the state capitol grounds serves as a powerful
reminder of the impact that collaborative efforts can have in creating positive change and
fostering stronger, more resilient communities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body commend Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates
for their unwavering dedication to affordable housing and community advocacy as well as
recognize March 5, 2025, as Habitat for Humanity Georgia Day at the state capitol.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the
public and the press.
