the 122nd, Persinger of the 119th, and others
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending Caterpillar Inc. on its 100th anniversary; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, this year, Caterpillar Inc. celebrates a century of industry leadership, innovation,
excellence, and remarkable contributions to infrastructure, manufacturing, and technological
advancement; and
WHEREAS, founded on April 15, 1925, Caterpillar Inc. originated from the pioneering work
of Benjamin Holt and C.L. Best, whose vision revolutionized track-type tractor technology
and laid the foundation for one of the most recognizable brands in heavy equipment; and
WHEREAS, Caterpillar Inc. has grown from its humble beginnings into a global leader in
manufacturing construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas
engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives, with operations spanning
countless industries and markets worldwide; and
WHEREAS, the company has maintained a significant presence in the United States,
including its headquarters in Irving, Texas, and multiple facilities across Georgia that support
jobs in Griffin, Atlanta, Athens, and Patterson; and
WHEREAS, throughout its history, Caterpillar Inc. has remained dedicated to its core values

WHEREAS, as Caterpillar Inc. embarks on its next century, it remains committed to

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body congratulate Caterpillar Inc. upon the grand occasion of its 100th
anniversary, commend its exemplary industry achievements and contributions, and extend
best wishes for its continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Caterpillar Inc.
