A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Kathryn Fletcher for her service as chair of the Georgia
Society of Certified Public Accountants; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Kathryn Fletcher, CPA, MBA, CGMA, has demonstrated exceptional
leadership and dedication in her role as the chair of the Georgia Society of Certified Public
Accountants (GSCPA) for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year; and
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure as chair, she has promoted the accounting profession
among young people, engaging with students of all ages to share the many opportunities
available within the field; and
WHEREAS, she has further served as a strong proponent of financial literacy, recognizing
its critical importance in daily life and championing increased awareness and education on
financial matters for individuals and communities alike; and
WHEREAS, her tenure as GSCPA chair has been marked by a commitment to innovation,
education, and advocacy, strengthening the profession's future and ensuring that CPAs
remain at the forefront of financial expertise and ethical responsibility; and
WHEREAS, her passion for the accounting profession began at an early age, leading her to
pursue a distinguished career in public accounting, where she has excelled as a trusted
advisor, mentor, and advocate for the profession; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstanding individual be
appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Kathryn Fletcher for her exemplary
service as chair of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and extend best
wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Kathryn Fletcher.
