A RESOLUTION
Honoring Tim Hyrbu of West Forsyth High School, the 2024 GHSA Class 6A Heavyweight
Boys Wrestling State Champion; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Tim Hyrbu, a student-athlete at West Forsyth High School, has demonstrated
outstanding skill, dedication, and perseverance in the sport of wrestling; and
WHEREAS, through his exceptional performance, Tim Hyrbu secured the title of 2024
GHSA Class 6A Heavyweight Boys Wrestling State Champion, winning the final match of
the 285lb weight class with a pin in the first round, bringing great pride and recognition to
West Forsyth High School and Forsyth County; and
WHEREAS, Coach Evan Goff has the esteemed privilege of serving as head coach to the
program, and oversaw countless hours of training and competition to assist in the growth of
Mr. Hyrbu and his teammates; and
WHEREAS, Tim Hyrbu's victory is a testament to his commitment to excellence, countless
hours of training, and the unwavering support of his coaches, teammates, family, and school
community; and
WHEREAS, his athletic achievements serve as an inspiration to his peers and a reflection of
the values of hard work, sportsmanship, and determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and honor Tim Hyrbu for his exceptional accomplishemt
as the 2024 GHSA Class 6A heavyweight Boys Wrestling State Champion.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Tim
Hyrbu.
