House Resolution 496
By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Beckles of the 96th, Berry of the 56th, Bell of the
75th, and Cannon of the 58th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Contessa Metcalfe; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe is a triple board certified physician, veteran, and star of
serval movies and television shows, including Married to Medicine; and
WHEREAS, after graduating from St. Louis School of Medicine, she served as a guardian
of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Navy, valiantly and courageously
protecting her fellow Americans and traveling the world as a flight surgeon; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Metcalfe owns HauteDoc, a lifestyle brand and a supplier of high quality
vitamins and supplements, as well as Chastain Integrative Medicine, located in the
prestigious Buckhead region of Atlanta, where she specializes in medical aesthetics as well
as preventive, occupational, and addiction medicine; and
WHEREAS, in addition to being a successful entrepreneur, Dr. Metcalfe selflessly serves as
the Georgia Chair of the American Diabetes Association and advocates for criminal justice
reform and health equity, especially in marginalized communities and for veterans; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished medical professional be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Contessa Metcalfe for her efficient,
effective, unselfish, and dedicated commitment to the health and well being of citizens of
Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for her continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.
Contessa Metcalfe.
