A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Community Supervision Officer John Crew, the Department
of Community Supervision's 2024 Officer of the Year; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, founded on the tenets of public safety and progress, the Georgia Department
of Community Supervision commenced operations on July 1, 2015, through the passage of
House Bill 310; and
WHEREAS, Community Supervision Officer John Crew has honorably served the State of
Georgia for 24 years and has shown himself to be an outstanding embodiment of the
department's core values of selfless service, accountability, integrity, teamwork, and
professional development; and
WHEREAS, Officer Crew routinely goes above and beyond to provide efficient, effective,
unselfish, and dedicated service to his coworkers and the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Officer Crew's commitment to public safety while helping create opportunities
for successful outcomes for the individuals he supervises serves as an example for his fellow
officers; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Community Supervision Officer John
Crew on being named the Department of Community Supervision's 2024 Officer of the Year
and extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to
Community Supervision Officer John Crew.
