A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Constance Levett Abbott; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Dr. Constance Levett Abbott has devoted her life to ministry, serving as a
leader, teacher, and spiritual guide who works to transform the lives of others through faith
and service; and
WHEREAS, she was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1996 at First Agape Christian
Fellowship Church, and she has since held numerous ministerial roles throughout her career,
including serving under Pastor Keith D. Brooks at All Nations Life & Praise Church; and
WHEREAS, her dedication to spiritual leadership led to her appointment as Senior Pastor
of Macedonia Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia, on February 26, 2022, where she
continues to minister to her congregation and engage with the broader Rockdale County
community through impactful ministries; and
WHEREAS, she has demonstrated a passion for discipleship by developing a structured
curriculum to guide new believers in their first six months of faith as well as a 10-course
Ministerial Training Curriculum designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and
confidence to share Biblical teachings; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her ministry, she has made significant contributions to the
community through her service as a DMIN Program Advisory Committee member for South
University and a P.E.A.R.L. Advisory Board member, advocating for the well-being of the
senior population in Rockdale County; and
WHEREAS, in November 2023, Dr. Abbott and Macedonia Baptist Church-Conyers were
honored as Unsung Heroes by the National Community-Based Organization Network in
collaboration with Morehouse School of Medicine, recognizing their efforts to address social,
ethical, and health disparities in the community; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message
of peace and love be honored and congratulated for her innumerable good works rendered
on behalf of persons in need.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Constance Levett Abbott for her
exceptional contributions to ministry, education, and community service as well as extend
best wishes for many more years of successful fellowship.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.
Constance Levett Abbott.
