Smith and Ann Schwartz Smith; and5 WHEREAS, she learned the art of political organizing from her m other, who turned their6 basement into a call center for the Democratic Party; and7 WHEREAS, Ms. Catherine Ann Smith shared her knowledge with thou sands of budding8 activists and organizers in both Michigan and Georgia, dedicating countless hours, energy,9 and resources to improving her community through the Democratic Party and progressive10 causes; and11 WHEREAS, she was a person of intelligence, passion, caring spirit, generosity, and was full12 of laughter and wit; by the example she made of her life, she made the world a better place13 in which to live; and14 H.
