Purser, Lilla Lee; commend ## Text 25 LC 112 3312 House Resolution 579 By: Representative Mathis of the 133rd A RESOLUTION Commending and congratulating Lilla Lee Purser; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Lilla Lee Purser was born on March 14, 1925, in Cochra n, Georgia, and this2 year she enjoys the rare distinction of celebrating her 100th birthday; and3 WHEREAS, she graduated from Cochran High School as a member of the Class of 1941,4 where she played on the girls basketball team, and she continue d her education at Middle5 Georgia College, excelling in both basketball and tennis; and6 WHEREAS, a devoted and active member of the First Baptist Church of Cochran, Lilla Lee7 Purser has dedicated many years to teaching Sunday school and s erving her fellow8 congregants; and9 WHEREAS, she was blessed with 72 years of loving marriage to the late Billy F. Purser, and10 together they have raised two wonderful children; and11 WHEREAS, she has brought joy and warmth to those around her thr ough her love of12 working in her yard, playing bridge, fishing, and cooking, and she now delights in playing13 bingo, her favorite pastime; and14 H.
