A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Carrollton High School debate team for winning the 2021, 2022, 2023,1
2024, and, most recently, 2025 GFCA State Debate Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Carrollton High School debate team has established and maintained a proud3
tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4
WHEREAS, excellent delivery, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this5
team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and th eir months of training and6
practice have been rewarded with a victory at the last five GFC A State Debate7
Championships; and8
WHEREAS, this distinguished and unmatched record represents the team's incredible9
tradition of excellence, including a total of 15 state championships; and10
WHEREAS, this magnificent program performed with precision duri ng the 2024-202511
season and cemented its well-deserved reputation for high standards of debate achievement12
and its development of critical thinkers and excellent public speakers; and13

WHEREAS, this remarkable accomplishment stands as a testament to the dedication, skill,14
and perseverance demonstrated by each member of the team; the a stute direction and15
guidance of their coaches; and the steadfast support of their school community; and16
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplar y championship team be17
appropriately honored during this special time.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
the members of this body congratulate the Carrollton High School debate team for winning20
the 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 GFCA State Debate Championships and extend best21
wishes for continued success.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24
Carrollton High School debate team.25
