Herring; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Reverend John H. Herring has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the2 Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,3 psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and4 WHEREAS, On April 25, 2010, Reverend Herring was licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus5 Christ and in March 2011, was ordained as a Preacher of the Gospel; and 6 WHEREAS, in 2012, upon the retirement of his father, Pastor Wal lace B. Herring, Sr.,7 Reverend John Herring became the 4th and youngest pastor of Glorious Hope Baptist Church8 in Macon, Georgia; and9 WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped Glorious Hope Baptist Church grow in size10 and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual11 leader and place for fellowship; and12 WHEREAS, with the heart for children and youth, Reverend Herring has been instrumental13 in the success of the widely popular Men About Change program, an after-school and14 H.
