A RESOLUTION
Commending Sarah Mallett for being named Bibb County's Teacher of the Year for 2024 and1
recognizing her exceptional contributions to education and the community; and for other2
purposes.3
WHEREAS, Sarah Mallett, an Audio, Video, Technology, and Film t eacher at Howard4
Middle School, has been honored as Bibb County's Teacher of the Year for 2024, reflecting5
her dedication to excellence in teaching and her positive impact on students; and6
WHEREAS, Ms. Mallett, a third-generation educator, has demonstr ated outstanding7
leadership and innovation in the classroom, fostering an engaging and supportive learning8
environment that encourages student growth and achievement; and9
WHEREAS, her classes are responsible for delivering school announcements, producing a10
weekly newsletter, and creating video projects, providing students with valuable hands-on11
experience in media production; and12
WHEREAS, Ms. Mallett's personal motto, "every student that comes in knows that no matter13
who you are, or where you come from, you have a seat at my tabl e," exemplifies her14
commitment to inclusivity and ensuring all students feel valued and supported; and15

WHEREAS, her dedication extends beyond the classroom, as she ac tively participates in16

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21
the members of this body recognize and commend Sarah Mallett, Bibb County's Teacher of22
the Year for 2024, for her exemplary service as an educator and her significant contributions23
to the academic and personal development of her students.24
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized25
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Sarah26
Mallett.27
