House Resolution 630

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Franklin Bailey; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Franklin Bailey is a 34-year member of both the Home Builders Association of South Georgia (HBASG) and the Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG), where he currently serves as the 2024-2025 president; and

WHEREAS, under his leadership as president, the HBAG has continued to create, promote, and protect a thriving environment for affordable housing while encouraging integrity and community engagement among its members; and

WHEREAS, with 43 years of experience in the construction industry, he further serves as the owner and founder of Franklin Bailey Construction LLC; and

WHEREAS, Franklin Bailey has earned many accolades within the home building community, including the 2018 HBASG Lifetime Hall of Famer Award and the 2010 HBASG Presidential Choice Award, and he is the only builder in the organization's history to be honored four times as the HBASG Builder Member of the Year; and

WHEREAS, he has additionally been involved in numerous civic and professional organizations, including as a past board member of the Georgia Bible Camp Organization and past director of the Valdosta Touchdown Club; and

WHEREAS, outside of his professional accomplishments, Franklin Bailey is a devoted husband to his wife, Sabrina; a loving father to his two sons, Jarod and Travis; and a proud grandfather; and

WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Franklin Bailey for his many invaluable contributions to both the home building industry and his community as well as extend best wishes for continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Franklin Bailey.
