75th, and Berry of the 56th
A RESOLUTION
Commending Adrienne Gates and recognizing March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in1
Georgia Day; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day acknowledges the philanthropic, social,3
and cultural contributions of women in the state; and4
WHEREAS, Adrienne Gates has long been recognized for the vital role that she has played5
in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare o f the citizens of Georgia;6
and7
WHEREAS, Adrienne is the founder of P.O.W.E.R. Atlanta Inc., a nonprofit organization8
dedicated to empowering individuals, children, and families in underserved communities9
through essential resources, financial literacy, and health-focused initiatives; and10
WHEREAS, under her leadership, P.O.W.E.R. Atlanta Inc., has bec ome a critical hub for11
Metro-Atlanta, offering holistic support that meets people where they are; and12

WHEREAS, beyond her work at P.O.W.E.R. Atlanta Inc., Adrienne s erves on multiple13
community advisory boards, using her lived experience to advoca te for policies and14
programs that drive real change; and15
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high16
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom17
which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved18
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and19
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for20
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness ; and21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng contributions of this22
individual be appropriately honored.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body commend Adrienne Gates for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and25
dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; recognize Mar ch, 20, 2025, as as26
TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued27
health and happiness.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to30
Adrienne Gates.31
