A RESOLUTION

Commending Cocoa Brown and recognizing March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day acknowledges the philanthropic, social, and cultural contributions of women in the state; and

WHEREAS, Cocoa Brown has long been recognized for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Cocoa is an actress, comedienne, entrepreneur, and Screen Actors Guild award Nominee best know her for her roles in Tyler Perry's "The Single Mom Club," OWN Network's "For Better or For Worse," and her comedy special "Famous Enough"; and

WHEREAS, Cocoa serves her community though her partnerships with the Social Butterflies Foundation, which supports women with lupus and fibromyalgia; the Wigs of Love Foundation, which celebrates and honors women battling hair loss from lupus; and though From Stage 2 Screen and Little Oscars where she teaches children and adults acting, stand-up comedy, and show business; and

WHEREAS, with her passion and talent, Cocoa Brown remains an unstoppable force in the entertainment industry, continuing to deliver captivating performances across a variety of genres; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this individual be appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Cocoa Brown for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; recognize March, 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Cocoa Brown.
