A RESOLUTION
Commending Janice Colbert and recognizing March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day acknowledges the philanthropic, social, and cultural contributions of women in the state; and
WHEREAS, Janice Colbert has long been recognized for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Janice is the proud owner of Brown Sugar Desserts and the SUGAR Dessert Bar in Conyers, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, beyond her bakeries, Janice operates a dessert van, catering to special events such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate gatherings; and
WHEREAS, she donates her delicious desserts and time to many organizations in the Atlanta Metro area and beyond, including schools, police departments, and other community orgnizations; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this individual be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Janice Colbert for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; recognize March, 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Janice Colbert.
