A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Carol Renee Jones; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, our nation's security continues to rely on patriotic men and women who put their personal lives on hold in order to place themselves in harm's way to protect the freedoms that all United States citizens cherish; and

WHEREAS, Carol Renee Jones valiantly and courageously served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Army for 20 years, including four years of honorable active duty and 16 years in the Army Reserves; and

WHEREAS, throughout her distinguished career, Mrs. Jones has dedicated a total of 45 years to federal service, culminating in her pivotal role as a Financial Operations Specialist in the Office of Grants Management; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Jones has made substantial contributions to federal grants management, ensuring that funds are utilized to their fullest potential for the benefit of communities across the nation and setting a lasting benchmark for others to aspire to; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Jones is a highly decorated veteran and a recipient of numerous awards and commendations for her service and dedication to improving federal operations; and

WHEREAS, only those with great strength, discipline, and a firm resolve achieve positions of such status, and Mrs. Jones has brought great credit to herself, her family, this state, and this nation through her outstanding performance and dedication; and

WHEREAS, her selfless service stands as a shining tribute to the strength of human spirit and willpower, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished American be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Carol Renee Jones for her 45 years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and this nation as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Carol Renee Jones.
