## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution honors media personality MiAsia Symone and designates March 20, 2025 as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution passed by the Georgia House of Representatives, not a law that changes anyone's rights or obligations. It commends MiAsia Symone, a radio, digital, and television personality who hosts Atlanta's Hot 107.9 and runs the MSL Media and Entertainment company and House of Heels boutique, for her public service and community work through her Hands on the Future Foundation.
The resolution declares March 20, 2025 as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day, recognizing the contributions of women in Georgia generally. It directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to MiAsia Symone as a keepsake honoring the designation.

### What it does

- Commends MiAsia Symone by name for her public service and community contributions in Georgia.
- Designates March 20, 2025 as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day to recognize contributions of women in the state.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to MiAsia Symone.
- Creates no new statutory requirements, funding, or penalties, since it is a commendatory resolution rather than a law.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names MiAsia Symone, a media personality and entrepreneur in Atlanta. It has no legal effect on the general public, businesses, or government agencies beyond the House Clerk's administrative task of distributing a copy.

### Why it matters

This resolution is symbolic rather than regulatory. It does not change Georgia law, create funding, or impose requirements on anyone. Its practical effect is limited to a formal House recognition and a keepsake document given to the honoree.

### Key provisions

- The resolution's preamble (the 'WHEREAS' clauses) describes MiAsia Symone's career in radio, television, business, and community philanthropy in Atlanta.
- The resolved clause formally commends Symone for her public service and designates March 20, 2025 as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day.
- A further resolved clause directs the Clerk of the House to make a copy of the resolution available for distribution to Symone.
