A Georgia House resolution commends businesswoman Cheray Duran and designates March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives rather than a law that changes any statute. It commends Cheray Duran, founder of several Georgia-based companies including Brown Eagle Investment Group, Duran Property Management, and S&E Advisory LLC, for her leadership and public service.
The resolution formally recognizes March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day, a day meant to acknowledge the philanthropic, social, and cultural contributions of women in the state. It also directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for Duran. The resolution does not create any new legal requirements, funding, or penalties.

### What it does

- Commends Cheray Duran by name for her leadership and public service in Georgia.
- Designates March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day, a symbolic recognition with no legal effect on state law.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to Cheray Duran.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names Cheray Duran and honors her business ventures. It also involves the Clerk of the House of Representatives, who is tasked with distributing a copy of the resolution, but it does not impose obligations on the public or any other group.

### Why it matters

This resolution has no binding legal effect and creates no new rights, duties, or funding. Its practical significance is symbolic: it gives official state recognition to an individual's business and community contributions on a specific commemorative day.

### Key provisions

- The resolution's preamble ('WHEREAS' clauses) describes Cheray Duran's businesses and personal qualities as the basis for the honor.
- The resolved clause formally commends Duran for her public service and designates March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day.
- A further resolved clause directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to make a copy of the resolution available to Duran.
