## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution honors business strategist Dora Din Whittley and designates March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution is a ceremonial measure passed by the Georgia House of Representatives. It commends Dora Din Whittley, a brand strategist and founder of The Whittley Agency, for her work in business leadership and economic empowerment.
The resolution formally recognizes March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day, a day meant to acknowledge the philanthropic, social, and cultural contributions of women in Georgia. It directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to Whittley. The resolution does not change any Georgia law, create programs, or spend state funds; it is a formal statement of recognition and praise.

### What it does

- Commends Dora Din Whittley by name for her business leadership and public service contributions to Georgia.
- Officially designates March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to Whittley.
- Contains no changes to Georgia statutes, no funding, and no enforceable legal requirements.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names and honors Dora Din Whittley. It has no legal effect on the general public, businesses, or government agencies, since it is a ceremonial statement rather than a binding law.

### Why it matters

Because this is a commendation rather than a law, it does not change any rights, duties, or funding in Georgia. Its practical effect is symbolic: a formal, public honor for one individual and a named day recognizing women's contributions in the state.

### Key provisions

- The preamble (WHEREAS clauses) describes Whittley's career as a brand strategist and co-principal of The Whittley Agency and her recognition as a 40 Under 40 honoree by Upscale Magazine.
- The resolving clause commends Whittley for her public service and formally designates March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day.
- A further resolved clause directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of the resolution to Whittley.
