A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Cedartown High School cheerleading team for winning the 2024 GHSA1
Division 4A State Cheerleading Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Cedartown High School cheerleading team has established and maintained3
a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4
WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of cheerleading5
competition by achieving the highest score in school history; and6
WHEREAS, excellent performance, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made7
this team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, a nd as a fitting finale to its8
remarkable 2024 campaign, the team captured its second consecut ive state cheerleading9
championship; and10
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding11
athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the12
team and the astute direction of Head Coach Shaie Dyer and Assistant Coach Shannon Allen;13

WHEREAS, this all-star team included Seniors Maddie Jefferson, Landry Atkins, Madison15
Crawford, Carli Guice, Sadie Bentley, Ariana Klemke, Zella Harrell; Juniors Jonalynn Zuker,16
Rachel Tanner, Coralee Brumby, AbbyLynn Cupp, Andrea Gravett, Brooklyn Nichols, Balei17
Harrison, Braelynne Hotchkiss, Aireth Cruz, Kailyn Stewart, Tay lor Johnson, Ande Kate18
Roper, Cali Graham; Sophomores Ella Popham, Coby Shooks, and Ria Patel; and Freshmen19
Addie Chandler, Alivia Griffin, Carla Perez, Haylee Bauer, Halo Bauer, Katelyn Cochran,20
and Kaelan Denton; and21
WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by22
performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is23
abundantly proper to call them champions.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body congratulate the Cedartown High School cheerleading team for26
winning the 2024 GHSA Division 4A State Cheerleading Championsh ip and extend best27
wishes for their continued success.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to30
Cedartown High School cheerleading team.31
