A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Reverend Dr. William Holmes Robinson on the occasion of1
his 13th pastoral anniversary; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. William Holmes Robinson has demonstrated his commitment to3
teaching the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,4
psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and5
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. William Holmes Robinson was called by the Lord 13 years ago6
to lead the congregation of The Olivet Church as its pastor, where he has since served with7
faith, wisdom, and a heart for ministry; and8
WHEREAS, under his leadership, The Olivet Church has experienced remarkable growth,9
including the successful launch of the "Let Us Rise Up and Buil d" Lifestyle Stewardship10
Capital Campaign, which resulted in the construction and dedication of a new Worship and11
Services Center on August 25, 2018; and12
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. William Holmes Robinson has worked tirelessly to expand the13
church's reach, deepen its impact, and minister to the needs of the congregation and the14
surrounding community; and15

WHEREAS, beyond his pastoral duties, he serves as chaplain for the Fulton and DeKalb16
County sheriff's offices and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and he has previously served17
on the Board of Trustees for the Progressive National Baptist Convention; and18
WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the s ick, counseling the19
troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or20
humanitarian, Reverend Dr. William Holmes Robinson has shown the energy, devotion, and21
commitment truly reflective of divine guidance; and22
WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Dr. William Holmes23
Robinson is a source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and24
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the outstanding accomplishments25
of the dynamic Christian ministry of this devout and pious man.26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
the members of this body recognize and commend Reverend Dr. William Holmes Robinson28
on the wonderful occasion of his 13th pastoral anniversary and extend best wishes for many29
more years of successful fellowship and leadership.30
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31
and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to32
Reverend Dr. William Holmes Robinson.33
