A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Wesley Nichols; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the 2025 Legislative Session marks Wesley Nichols' 25th year as a dedicated member of the Capitol Press Corps, where he has played a vital role in documenting Georgia's legislative process; and
WHEREAS, he serves as the lead capitol photographer for Georgia Public Broadcasting's Lawmakers, helping to provide comprehensive coverage of legislative proceedings and informing countless viewers about the formation of laws in Georgia; and
WHEREAS, over the past two and a half decades, Wesley Nichols has conducted exclusive interviews, covered press conferences, captured historic moments, and built lasting relationships with legislators and members of the state capitol community; and
WHEREAS, his commitment to journalistic excellence and visual storytelling has made a profound impact on the public's understanding of state government, ensuring transparency and accessibility in legislative reporting; and
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, Wesley Nichols has served with honor and distinction as part of the Capitol Press Corps, and his vision and unyielding commitment to excellence in reporting have set the standard for exemplary service; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Wesley Nichols for his 25 years of effective, efficient, and dedicated service to the Capitol Press Corps and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Wesley Nichols.
