A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Joy Monroe; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Joy Monroe has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital2
role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal co mmitment to the welfare of3
the citizens of Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,5
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced6
dramatically by her superlative service as the founder and CEO of Single Parent Alliance and7
Resource Center; and8
WHEREAS, Single Parent Alliance and Resource Center (SPARC) is a nonprofit dedicated9
to empowering single-parent families through housing stability, financial literacy, and10
holistic support; and11
WHEREAS, with a deep commitment to addressing housing insecurit y and economic12
challenges, Joy has led SPARC in creating innovative programs that provide real solutions13
for families in need; and14

WHEREAS, under her leadership, SPARC has grown into a trusted r esource, fostering15
collaboration among nonprofits, businesses, and government agen cies to drive systemic16
change; and17
WHEREAS, Joy's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience and18
diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have19
earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and20
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for21
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and22
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this23
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body recognize and commend Joy Monroe for her efficient, effective,26
unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere27
best wishes for continued health and happiness.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Joy30
Monroe.31
