A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Lowndes County High School baseball team for winning the 2024 GHSA1
7A State Baseball Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Lowndes County High School baseball team has upheld a proud tradition3
of excellence, placing equal importance on character development, academic achievement,4
and athletic performance; and5
WHEREAS, through remarkable play, cohesive teamwork, and exceptional leadership, the6
team became a standout presence throughout the 2024 season, cul minating in a thrilling7
championship victory with a final score of 4-2 to claim the GHSA 7A State Baseball title;8
and9
WHEREAS, the outstanding performance of this team exemplifies t he dedication,10
perseverance, and unity of its players as well as the strategic guidance of their head coach,11
Ryan Page, who has led the Vikings to back-to-back state championships; and12
WHEREAS, the team's extraordinary achievements are further highlighted by its consistency13
and commitment to excellence, finishing the season with an impr essive 25-5 record and14
featuring 17 seniors, eight of whom have committed to playing at the collegiate level; and15

WHEREAS, the Vikings have brought immense pride to their school and community,16
earning a reputation for athletic excellence, sportsmanship, an d the relentless pursuit of17
success both on and off the field.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
the members of this body congratulate the Lowndes County High School baseball team on20
winning the 2024 GHSA 7A State Baseball Championship and extend best wishes for21
continued success in their future endeavors.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24
Lowndes County High School baseball team.25
